2008 — Indoor – placed eighth with season-best high jump (6-9 3/4) at Big Ten Championships… runner-up in high jump at Iowa Open (6-7) and placed third at Jack Johnson Classic (6-6 1/4) and Iowa Invite (6-8 1/4)… also high jumped at UNI Open (6-4 3/4) and Cyclone Classic (6-5)… Outdoor – NCAA regional qualifier in high jump… placed 10th in that event at regional meet with a collegiate-best jump of 6-11… that mark ranks sixth in school history… placed fourth in high jump (6-10 3/4) at Big Ten Championships… placed fifth in high jump at Musco Twilight X (6-6 3/4) and fourth at Hawkeye Invite (6-2 3/4)… letterwinner.

2007 — Indoor – led team in high jump (6-10 1/4)… placed fifth in high jump (6-9 3/4) at Big Ten Championships… won high jump with a season-best 6-10 1/4 at Hawkeye Invite… also won that event at Iowa Invite (6-9 3/4)… Outdoor – led team in high jump (6-8 3/4)… placed 15th (6-4 1/4) at Big Ten Championships and tied for 17th at Drake Relays (6-6 3/4)… placed second with season-best high jump of 6-8 3/4 at Musco Twilight IX… letterwinner.

2006 — Indoor – led team in high jump (6-10 3/4)… won high jump at Iowa Open with a collegiate-best mark of 6-10 3/4, which ranks eighth on Iowa[apos]s all-time best performers list… placed 10th in high jump (6-7 1/2) at Meyo Invite and second (6-6 3/4) at Hawkeye Open… Outdoor – led team in high jump (6-8 3/4)… placed 14th in high jump (6-4 1/4) at Big Ten Championships… placed third with season-best high jump (6-8 3/4) at Springtime Invite… won high jump (6-8) at Messersmith Invite… letterwinner.

2005 — Indoor – runner-up in high jump at Iowa Open (6-6 3/4) and Hawkeye Open (6-4)… placed sixth in high jump at Panther Classic (6-4 3/4) and seventh at Gold Country Classic (6-4 3/4)… Outdoor – placed fifth in high jump at Messersmith Invite (6-4 3/4) and tied for eighth at Musco Twilight VII (6-2 3/4).

High School — won conference high jump title senior year, placing second at state meet… conference high jump runner-up as a junior, placing fourth at state meet… placed fourth at Drake Relays in high jump as a senior… set school high jump record (6-8 1/4)… lettered four years in track and two in basketball… National Honor Society member and blue honor roll student… coach was Barb Motes.

Personal — born October 24, 1985… son of Steve and Lori Petsche… attended same high school as Hawkeye teammate Jordan Besco… electrical engineering major.
